Tour program 

Day 1: Arrival and visit of Addis Ababa

Arrival and welcome at the airport by your guide, installation at your hotel.

After breakfast, you will visit the national museum to begin your discovery of Ethiopia through its history and in particular our ancestor Lucy. In the afternoon, visit the Trinity Cathedral and the Mausoleum of Emperor Menelik II (Bààta church).

Day 2: Addis Ababa - Stelae of Tiya - Langano

Road to Langano.

You will visit the field of Tiya steles: around fifty carefully crafted funerary steles dating from the 14th century. This site has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980. If our schedule allows it, continue to the semi-monolithic church of Adadi Mariam, the southernmost in Ethiopia. The church was built between the 12th and 14th centuries in the Lalibela style, then abandoned in the 16th century and rediscovered under Menelik II.

Installation at your hotel on the edge of Langano where you can admire many species of birds, swim or practice some water activities (optional).

Day 3: Langano - Dorze - Arbaminch

You will meet the Dorze on Chencha Mountain. 

This ethnic group is famous for these weavings and these unique houses in Ethiopia in the shape of a beehive or an elephant, depending on the vision you can have of them. You will visit the village, the Enset farm also called false banana tree and the weaving workshop.

You will continue towards Arbaminch.
